Western New York was the only Rugby New York conference to contest a girls’ high school season this year, and City Honors defeated Orchard Park 52-12 for the title (more to come). The state organization then named an all-state team, which came together as players were nominated and coaches voted to fill a 15-person roster.
City Honors leads the selections with five representatives, and runner-up Orchard Park follows with three. Corning and Kenmore placed two players apiece on the honorary list, while Syracuse and Hamburg added one player each. South Buffalo sent the lone freshman – fullback Madison Moeller – to the all-state team.
